Please ensure that all these rules have been read and will be followed, before you post or reply to any content in this board.
The Visual Show Rooms is for you to show off your work. This can be signatures, large pieces, web layouts, forums, even a bit of literature if you wish. Please make sure you follow the following rules however.

- Use an appropriate title. "Please Rate This" is not appropriate. We need a small description of what it is that can be seen from the thread page. People are more likely to rate what they're interested in. - All graphics must be made by you. Whether you have permission or not, anything posted must be your's. If you've used premade backgrounds, it isn't your's. Definitely do not rip, this will result in an automatic ban. - Credit where necessary. This includes brushes, stocks and renders. If in doubt, credit anyway. - Add a description. This tells us about what you've done, what you've made it in, themes, ideas and what not. If you've got a description on deviantArt or similar, that is fine. - Images must not stretch the board. Post links if you have to. Images stretching the board doesn't look good at all. - One item per post. We only want to rate one thing at a time, so make sure you only post one. We do allow portfolios however, which are excluded from this rule. - No advertising. Posting for rates for your new forum/website/whatever is fine, but asking people to join is not.

- Only reply if you are rating an image. Don't post off-topic, "mini-mod" or anything like that. You are welcome to point out rules if you add a rate however. - Keep excessive swearing, insults and bias out of posts. It simply isn't permitted here. - Do not make ratings abusive. This is never helpful and can start flame wars, which we don't want. - Rates must be of a decent length, and be backed up with suggestions and comments. Otherwise, it's considered spam. There are some examples a couple of posts down for you to look at. Rates need to help the user, so "VERY GOOD!!!" is not good enough.

- Don't bump old threads. Old threads are those that are a couple of weeks old. Please PM me if in doubt. You can bump up your own thread as long as it isn't too old (2 months +) - You may bump your own thread every 48 hours. Keep a check on your clock. This includes invisible bumping; I'm not stupid, so don't even think about trying it.

These are some rates that you can use as a guide.
Example 1 - Rates should be as long as this.
-The background is too busy, and you should try more than brushing. -The blending on the stock is very good, no questions asked. -The text needs to blend better. I suggest adding a stroke to it and setting the layer to soft light.
Example 2 - Rates can be as long as this if you want.
The background is very good, and different. The brushing mixed with the filters does work very well here and you've chosen a good mix. The stock has been well blended. The motion blur set to overlay works brilliantly and you've removed the edges of the stock well. Good job there. The text blends with the graphic too. However, the font is a little hard to see. As for the pixel font, size it down. Pixel fonts don't work that large. The scanlines are too exposed. Try setting them to about 15 opacity, as that will reduce the visibility. The shine doesn't really work here either. Firstly, it's too bright, and secondly, it just doesn't match the theme of this image. The 1px black border is simple, and that's all that this needs. You might want to experiment with different borders eg the 3px border and scanlines/dots/other patterns, but you don't need to. Overall, this is very good. Good work, and good luck.
I have made some observations, these may help you.
- Try to use graphics terminology and explain how to do something or link to tutorials. This is helpful. - Marks out of 10 never help anyone. They aren't required.
